Senator Bolques Helps Secures One-Year Exemption on Transaction Fees for St. John Taxi Drivers Following Discussions with National Park Service St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – Senator At Large Angel Bolques Jr. has successfully advocated for St. John taxi drivers, securing a one-year exemption from the 3% transaction fee that was set to take effect in January 2025. This decision follows extensive discussions with the National Park Service (NPS) regarding the commercial use authorization (CUA) fees impacting transportation services within the park.

Îles Vierges américaines – Le sénateur général Angel Bolques Jr. a célébré la mise en service du parc solaire Petronella à Sainte-Croix, félicitant la Water and Power Authority (WAPA) pour avoir franchi une étape importante vers une énergie propre, durable et fiable pour le territoire. Le parc solaire de 10 mégawatts situé à l'extrémité est de Sainte-Croix représente un changement dans la production d'énergie, réduisant la dépendance aux générateurs traditionnels et aux combustibles fossiles coûteux tout en permettant des économies de carburant quantifiables. Le sénateur Angel Bolques Jr. a exprimé aujourd'hui sa profonde gratitude au gouverneur Albert Bryan Jr. pour avoir promulgué la loi n° 35-0031 sur les droits des enfants victimes et témoins. Cette loi historique, désormais loi n° 8923, constitue une avancée majeure dans la protection des enfants dans les îles Vierges, garantissant un soutien complet aux enfants victimes et témoins impliqués dans le processus judiciaire.
