Senator-At-Large 36th Legislature of the Virgin Islands

I am deeply honored and grateful to continue serving as your Senator-at-Large in the Legislature of the Virgin Islands. Representing the entire territory—St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island—is a privilege that I embrace with the highest of respect. 

As Senator-at-Large, my role is multifaceted and rooted in a steadfast commitment to the people of our islands. My responsibilities include:

Legislative Duties

• Crafting, introducing, debating, and voting on legislation that addresses the diverse needs of the Virgin Islands.
• Conducting thorough research and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure laws are data-driven and community-focused.
• Monitoring the implementation of enacted legislation to ensure its intended impact is achieved effectively.

Constituent Representation

• Serving as the voice of all Virgin Islanders by addressing individual and collective concerns.
• Advocating for the equitable allocation of resources and services to benefit residents across all three islands.
• Acting as a bridge between constituents and government agencies, working to resolve issues swiftly and effectively.

Committee Participation

• Playing a key role in legislative committees to evaluate policies, budgets, and programs.
• Leading meaningful discussions and providing oversight in critical areas such as education, healthcare, public safety, economic development, and infrastructure.
• Ensuring transparency and accountability in government operations through rigorous review and analysis.

Community Engagement

• Maintaining a strong presence across the territory to listen to residents’ concerns, understand their priorities, and build trust.
• Actively participating in community events, town halls, and forums to foster meaningful relationships and enhance public awareness of legislative initiatives.
• Supporting grassroots efforts that align with a broader vision for the development and well-being of the Virgin Islands.

Policy Advocacy

• Championing forward-thinking policies that drive economic growth, workforce development, and technological advancement.
• Prioritizing cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and social equity to safeguard the unique identity and future of our islands.
• Collaborating with local, regional, and federal entities to secure funding and create opportunities for territorial advancement.

• Providing strategic leadership to inspire confidence and unity among Virgin Islanders and my colleagues in the Legislature.
